Locals’ Warm Spring Social
An Annual Neighborhood & Community Picnic at Morton’s

Morton’s Warm Springs is extending a very special invite to you, our local Glen Ellen/Kenwood & Sonoma Valley community to join us in neighborly welcome for an afternoon of sunshine, delicious quality food and family fun at our 3rd Annual Locals’ Warm Spring Social ~ A Neighborhood Picnic at Morton’s Warm Springs, coming up on Saturday, May 5th, from 1 – 6pm! Come on down and spend the day at the Springs deepening in community connection with fellow neighbors, both old and new. Our mineral spring-fed geothermal pools will be open for swimming and there’ll be fun for the whole family.
This day is our gift to you, our local community, neighbors, supporters and friends! There will be no charge/general admission to the Springs for this event so when you arrive at the gate, say the word “Community” and have your potluck dish ready in exchange for admission! We won’t be open to the general public yet (Opening Day is the next day, Sunday, May 6th), so this event is a gathering that’s for us and put on by all of us sharing together. It’s about building community, inclusion and participation. We ask everyone to treat the space as their own by ‘leaving no trace’ and packing out any trash or belongings that we bring in.
HERITAGE POTLUCK: Your potluck food dish or tasty appetizer is your entry ticket for this special day (non-alcoholic drinks provided). One dish per adult. Be sure to make it something high-quality and low-waste… and organic or locally sourced if you can! And if you’d like to take it a step further, bring a homemade dish that’s a “treasured family recipe;” either something you’ve treasured since just last year, or one that’s been handed down through the generations. Anything from the ultra simple to the completely elaborate is welcome! It’s also a good idea to bring a cover and your own serving utensil (please label them with your name!). If your dish needs refrigeration, consider bringing it in a small, labeled cooler.
VOLUNTEERS, SHARING & PLUG-INS: For those who’d like to plug in a little more, this Warm Spring Social is also an opportunity to get more involved with your community, volunteer, or offer something that inspires you. Fun outdoor or lawn games gathering dust? Bring ’em! Want to volunteer to help us setup or breakdown? Give us a holler! Want to set up a kid’s face painting area? We welcome your ideas!
MUSICIANS: Do you play any acoustic instruments – guitar, flute, violin, banjo, djembe…? Bring ’em on down! (No amps please.) And if you’d like to play an acoustic solo or group set for our Social and share your music with the community, we have slots available, just let us know!
