A Contemplative Community Wellness Daylong
~ Wednesday, September 23 | 10AM–6PM ~
A special frequency is coming to Sonoma Valley this fall...
On Wednesday, September 23—the first full day of autumn—Morton’s Warm Springs will host its inaugural Fall Equinox FLOAT Fest: an 18+ day of ceremony, sound, movement and reflection honoring our community and the land and waters of this beautiful historic geothermal springs set along the banks of Sonoma Creek.
FLOAT Fest brings together ceremonial sound, sound healing, floating in geothermal spring-fed pools, somatic movement, breathwork, meditation and bodywork beneath the oaks and bay trees. Produced by Lisa Willett of Glen Ellen Gathering Space and Morton’s co-directors Laurie Hobbs and Sean Wadsworth, this festival will be anchored by world-renowned Ceremonial sound practitioner René Jenkins alongside Sunee Lewitzky, founder of Soul-Fi Sound Healing, as well as international movement teachers Anjuli Mahendra and Alok Rocheleau of Embody Flow.
For one extraordinary day, the beloved family destination will become a sanctuary for adults—a place to lower the volume, fill the inner well and listen more deeply. The fall equinox marks a threshold: the movement from summer into autumn and from longer days toward longer nights. Cultures around the world have long observed this season as a time of balance, harvest, gratitude and preparation. FLOAT Fest invites guests to reflect on the year thus far, honor what the season has revealed, release what no longer belongs and consciously set the tone for the remainder of the year.
Experiences will unfold throughout the day in three distinct zones across Morton’s expansive property.
THE SPRING-FED POOLS
Morton’s pools will be open for floating, resting and receiving. René Jenkins will make his home base beside the water, creating a ceremonial soundscape with his collection of instruments at selected times throughout the day.
THE NYMPHAEUM at the STONE CREEK CIRCLE
Beside Sonoma Creek stands a remarkable stone gathering place built over and around one of the original geothermal sources present on the land. This Stone Creek Circle will be reimagined for FLOAT Fest as the Nymphaeum, a creekside sanctuary and the domain of Soul-Fi Sound Healing. Guests may settle beside the creek and listen as Sunee Lewitzky weaves crystal bowls, bells, chimes and flute into the natural sounds of flowing water.
SHADY GROVE PAVILION
A little further downstream, Shady Grove Pavilion rests within a grove of oaks and bay trees. Here, Anjuli Mahendra, Alok Rocheleau and special guests will guide somatic movement, Bhakti Flow, breathwork and meditation, accompanied by the living soundscape of Sonoma Creek and the birdsong moving through the grove.
The day will also incorporate onsite bodyworkers offering a curated selection of healing sessions–from poolside chair massage, to individual table massage, sound healing sessions and hydrotherapy–for a separate fee. Café 108 will be open throughout the event, offering a delicious organic menu of farm-to-table offerings from salads and sandwiches, to house-made beverages, full coffee bar, and Straus Family Creamery soft-serve ice cream. Food and optional bodywork sessions are not included in admission.
Admission is $108 per person and includes full-day entry to the Springs, access to the spring-fed pools and all scheduled sound, movement, breathwork and meditation
sessions offered–including any that may be added closer to the event!
